RE: I suck at crossovers
A cross-over is where the arrows look like..
426242624 or 486848684
Called a Cross-over because in DDR, you keep one of your legs on the down arrow then use your other to cross over and hit the other notes.
Cross-overs are a pain. You basically just have to hit the first note with one finger, then hit the next three with the other. Or 2 with one and 2 with the other or so forth. Try and find a song that has maybe a set of cross overs at different parts of the song and try to FC them. Then go back to Captain Jack.Comment

Look, just in case someone out there is really confused, I made this.

That's a cross over.Comment

they're easy. assuming you're index...
looking at 42624... you would go, left index, right index, right, left , left. Not that difficult when you master that fingering. If you really want to, you can do it like left index, right index, left, right, left....but that is hard to do for certain patterns. Either way you want to do it, just practice.

Just need to practice them a lot...find songs with slower crossovers, then slowly work up in speed...try to avoid double stepping (ex: left-down-right-down-left crossover hit with left index - right index - right index - right index - left index), usually results in a loss of combo, or bad step results...just my 2 centsComment

pfffft that is easy. Just use the arrow keys, not your number pad, and then use your index, middle, and right fingers.
usually, they end up being left, down, up, down, left, down, up. Which you continue a pattern of index, middle, ring, middle, index, etc...
It's not that hard really. Practice is the biggest problem.Comment
