I want to start stepping some songs but i dont know the programs that you need to download to start making them. I think i heard once that the program was on stepmania site but where? That sites really confusing.

A) Notepad
B) The In-game editor in SM

I know there is a thread around here somewhere that teaches how to do it in notepad.

use xstep to make the files and mix meister bpm analyzer to find the bpm.
