RE: Hand position for ffr
Well, If you want to play one handed,
right pointer finger-left
right middle- up
right ring- right
and you use your right middle finger for the down as well.
if you want to use left one handed,
left ring- left
left middle- up
left pointer- right
and you use your left middle for the down
if you want to use index, then you use both index fingers for all the keys.
if you want to use the standard two handed way, then its,
right pointer- up
right middle- right
left pointer- down
left middle-right
there are many different ways you can play. There is some really weird shit like what you were saying. If your going to play one handed, it will take awhile for you too get really fast, on the other hand, if your playing two handed, you will start off faster and i find that its much easier that way.
I myself personally play the standard two handed way. It all just matters on what feels most comfortable. Good luck. -

RE: Hand position for ffr
I use my index fingers on both hands to do all four arrows, I find theres nothing that I cant do except crossovers (which are left down right down left down right) Its kinda like the fingers are feet on a DDR pad, and so patterns I learn there can bleed into FFR.Comment

And here is the post on 4-F CrossOver Technique, which has been very comfortable for me, when you angle your keyboard. It keeps both hands in on their natural inward position, which is the reason why they even made a Microsoft natural keyboard.

Yes. I play this way.Originally posted by talismanor you can just play on left down and 86...
Left Middle = Left Arrow
Left Index = Down Arrow
Right Middle = 8 on Numpad (up arrow)
Right Ring = 6 on Numpad (right arrown)
Very easy on the fingers/wrists.
And no awkward finger positions.Comment
