Arrows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, how is it possible that you can read the arrows so fast. Is it just memorization? For example, Chrono Trigger, do you actually see each arrow and comprehend which key to press with it? Or have you just done it so much that you somewhat know how it goes? I'm trying like hell to see all those arrows, I can catch up with it once in a while, but I lose it. It is impossible to see those arrows fast enough. Where do you keep your eyes concentrated on? I don't know, I just can't seem to get it. This is just a general question to ALL FFR, SM, DWI players.

no, you see each arrow. Its easy with practise, try maxX unlimited on 0.7, when you can 1.5 it try winter, 0.7 again, when you can 1.5 that (besides being better than me) you will be able to attempt Payon, do that well and u can destroy any song here. Its all practice...

After awhile I can just stare at the center of the screen with no focus whatsoever and have all the arrows come to me. It becomes instinctual what arrow goes to what finger. You can't learn it, you can only practice until you understand it.

Exactly, if I look at the arrows and think about what I have to hit I get boos and misses left and right. It's really weird.

I think that sometimes I recognize arrow patterns instead of just indiviual arrows. For example, we all now and love this:

I'm not exactly sure how I do it, though. Sometimes it seems like I'm not even conscious and I'm still doing really well... :P

I think when you start playing all you can comprehend is singular arrows. As you play more though you recognize double arrow patterns, and jumps, and the colors start helping, and then you get to a point where you're good enough to recognize entire patterns, where you can look at one part of the screen and just see the whole thing coming so you know what to do, and instead of just picking up that one arrow you pick up all of them, and as you become better your fingers adjust to hitting em all. That's my theory on it, I may be right or wrong, I'm by no means an expert of this game.
