    General Speed Mod Question

Hey, after reading some of the other posts regarding the speed mod settings, I decided I'd ask if theres any specific time we (the people of FFR) can expect these, aswell as other features in the game to work correctly? I would personally like to slow down some of my more difficult songs to half speed and work on them, then bring them up to normal speed when I have the individual segments mastered. I feel this would be a very good thing to work on, and would help probably not only me to master some of the more difficult moves, but probably lots of people aswell, and not to mention give the more advanced players the ability to select their individual speed settings so they can go mad on their keyboards too.

    Any positive response is welcome.

    RE: General Speed Mod Question

If anything, you want to be able to increase arrow scroll speed. You want the arrows to go fast enough so that you can see the patterns, but not so fast that you can't react to them. C300 is NOT sufficient in order to read some of the more difficult sections of a number of songs. >_<

However, there are speed mods in R2.

On a side note, this is the Best. First. Post. Ever. ^_^

Indeed, congrats on not being a mindless idiotic n00b.

From what I've read, speed mods are going to be extremely difficult to implement into FFR because of the way it's coded. Synth is doing his best. No one knows how far he is on that or when they will be implemented. Patience is the key

Wow! A noob actually knows grammar and proper English!!!!
Yeah, but you usually want to speed up the song so that the patterns are more spread out and easier to read. Try R2 or even SM. Yeah, but nobody knows when the mods will be implemented...

Alright, thanks for the speedy reply!

Actually, I find that on some songs there's tricky rocks and turns going about, and occasionally something comes up thats a quick change to what the current pattern was, and it messes you all up. The only song I can think of at this moment that does this is Crystalis in Arcade. Overall there are good patterns that make the song very easy, but certain unexpected changes start to confuse you.

              RE: General Speed Mod Question

Guys. Speed mods will not affect the speed of the song. The song will play at exactly the same rate (I don't even think it'd be possible in flash to make the song play faster or slower and sync to steps). The only thing affected would be the scroll rate of the arrows. This is why a slower speed is illogical. All the arrows would be bunched up and impossible to read.
