    3 finger playing.

Does playing with 1 hand/3 fingers put me at a disadvantage?

    Well..

Everyone has their own way of playing. If thats how you play the game, and your comfortable with it, then it puts you at no kind of disadvantage.

Yes it does put you at a disadvantage because people playing with 2 fingers from each hand can play much faster songs than people with 3 fingers from one hand.

It absolutely does not in any way. Unless you cant move your fingers fast this is actually a rather good way. But actually using 2 fingers from each hand(wich I do) is good for Masters Only and Gurus Only songs because of streams.

yer .. ok.. its not so much a disadvantage, but playing with 1 hand 3 fingers is still making it slightly harder to play, where as using 2 fingers on each hand, as RevenG- says it makes streams a lot easier.. my advice is learn to play with 2 hands. up 2 u tho how ever you feel comfortable.

                RE: Re: RE: Well..

I think that either 4 fingers/two hands or 3 fingers/one hand are the best ways to play.
                i use 3 fingers/one hand.

                  I play 3 fingers/1 hand...
always have, try getting good scores on the Guru/Master songs though

But nonetheless it still takes skill to play songs with 1 hand

yeah, I used to play with one hand, three fingers, then I switched to two hands, only index fingers. It definitly helps me do better in songs like flight of the bumblebee or hell beat. It helps me go faster, but it is only my opinion. I'd say it would put Me at a disadvantage. Not neccessarily you

I will tell you right now that there are pros and cons for all different types of playing methods... I for one am a one-hander, and have been doing so since I started playing... I think I would consider myself one of the better one-handers out there, and other people would probably vouch for me on that... Afrobean is probably one of the best one-handers out there, but something that he could do, like a low B on Quasar or something, a two hander could get a high AAA... So yeah... Playing two handed is A LOT easier, but you are more 'recognized' so to speak if you are good at one-hand...

I hope that helped, and hopefully you get my point... :S

I can B Quasar... and I am a noob... but since I play two handed, it's OK! One handed I can't even pass quasar...

I'm a one hander all the way. Me likes to keep it simple. :P
