    Dancepad won't read!

-- In either Stepmania or DWI.
Running WindowsXP Pro SP2, DirectX 9.0. Using the Mayflash Super Dual Box PS2-USB converter. I did the "start+up+select" code for the Super Dual Box and downloaded and installed the driver.

In Control Panel/Game Controllers, the Super Dual Box is there, all the buttons read. In DWI, Options, all the buttons are set.

But as soon as either program begins, there is no device present.
I even downloaded the free demo of DDR. It won't work there either.

Somebody please help! This is very frustrating!

(Also posted in DWI & SM forums . . . it was suggested that I post here.)

    RE: Dancepad won

Did you go into the options of DDR/DWI and change the key configurations around to where it should fit for the pad, or did you leave it as keys on a keyboard.

      Hi Snapps. Thanks for responding.

Yes, I set all the options in DWI . . . the (dancepad) buttons read just fine --all 10 of them. That's what's so weird . . .

And the program plays using a keyboard, I checked that too.

I even found a PC version of DDR and bought it (for too much $$!) hoping that if THAT doesn't work I could at least get tech support.

Is there any problem with XP SP2 and the software that anyone has heard about?

Wrong forum... I meant the chit chat forum, not the FFR general, it has nothing to do with FFR.

          dancepad now reading

          Got it working.
Uninstalled, reinstalled . . . it's possible that the dance pad has to be hooked up during installation. This is FUN!
