www.bemainistyle.com is an easy way to get songs, because stepmania doesnt come with them.

*www.bemanistyle.com not what cenright said. And, practice songs like Breaking The Common in Dance Section first page to get your skill up, and recognize patterns. Just practice, practice, practice.

                I recommend in order:
5 Hours Super Mario 8 Bit Eighties Remix
3 Hours Legend of Zelda Remix
                2 Hours Computer Dreams
                1 Hours Spontaenous Hydroxide

After those drills you should be able to do everything but some Trickys and everything else above, from then on progression should be natural.

I suggest doing Soul Shift, Breaking The Common, 136.6, and others. But for us old tymers to FFR, we didnt have over 70+ songs! We had barely 15+ amd we made do!

Start out with songs like mario, trip to the moon club, and moonlight sonata, just to build a foundation. Once you've mastered those, move on to standard songs like slap guitar 2, contra distinction, and shag. Once you've got those down, move on to more difficult levels like blank knowing, sonic 2 boss machine, and alpha helix. After that you're a pretty decent FFR player. Believe me, songs that seem really hard early on will become second nature in time.

One last thing I forgot to add, for finger placement I suggest: left middle on left arrow, left index in down arrow, right index on up arrow, and right middle on right arrow. Trust me, it works really good and will enable you to do more challenging songs.

I suggest don't listen anyone here and do learn on your own.

We're just saying what songs he should play... I think he shouldn't play mario if he can FC euphoria
                          My list should be appropriate

Shut up. I hate people that joined summer of 03 and think they're vets. I doubt you even remember who The Young Bard was.
