Does anyone else experience pretty bad keyboard chatter issues with mechanical keyboards? I randomly boo alot with them. This never happened to me on membrane keyboards.

I just upgraded from a standard Microsoft membrane keyboard to a Leopold FC900R PD with Mx Silver switches. I put 40A 1.5mm o-rings under my FFR keys (A, S, Num5, Num6), I'll put them under the rest of the keys later. I also swapped the Num4 and Num5 keycaps so I don't have the raised pip on the 5.



(I use the books as armrests to keep my wrists straight.)

I'm still getting used to it, I tend to hit notes a little too early now and in the first few songs I got some unexpected averages in the middle of a series of perfects. But my speed is already a lot better, I can keep up with the trills in Bumblebee for the first time. And my precision is better too, now my notes tend to fall within 1-2 frames of each other instead of 2-3 on sections that aren't too challenging. One downside is that it feels a little harsher on my finger joints, even with the o-rings. But another upside is that my forearm muscles haven't been getting stiff and fatigued during long, fast-paced songs like they used to.

I'm currently using an ducky dkon1608 (red switches), got it for like 80 bucks + 10 dollar nice custom keycaps from alibaba. It works pretty well and is very reliable for the now 1 year ive been using it for keysmashing and whatever, havent had one problem yet .

Im also considering making a custom keyboard as a cool project (when i have the money ofc).

Logitech G213, got it for dirt cheap from staples, like $20 (thanks employee discount + coupon + price matching.

I think i might look for something a bit better though, i don't like the mushy sound of the keys

I think you could probably look for a good cheap chinese keyboard, or look into some sort of cheaper lowend no rgb ducky keyboard. Maybe an Magicforce or Acseny One (pretty obscure ducky ripoff only available with reds, saw an amazon link somewhere)

G513 right now, it feels really good. I used to have the k95 with speed switches and man the keyboard chatter was awful. I returned the k95 with speed switches for another one with brown switches, but the double clicks were still there. So I'm probably never buying a high-end keyboard from corsair ever again.

I ended up buying the g513 because it was on sale for like 110 euros. And it's honestly been great. Would recommend it to anyone who''s willing to spend a little extra. I've had this keyboard for close to 5 months and I've only used 1 setup. Not a single key has failed me yet.
