Hey, I'd like to start a small initiative to create an actual tool for this on the new services platform. This seems like a very stand-alone tool, so would be fun to make an official page / service.

That would definitely make this more convenient for users. At the moment it's pretty out of the way, that is if players even know to look for a noteskin collection at all. Then you have to click through like 5 things just to even get the file to put into the game.

Actually speaking of, could the game just like...have a folder where you could put txt files with JSON in them so you could freely select noteskins in the engine that way? Always found it kinda janky to have to open a file with a mile long gibberish and pasting it into a little bar in the engine, with only space for one skin.

There isn't really a template since it's pretty barebones.

Just make an image and make sure it has a transparent background, and whatever you want to use for a noteskin are evenly spaced apart from one another.

Everything else is done in the in-game editor or website editor that Velo linked above.

There were some errors in the JSON strings of my 2 custom noteskins that cause them to not be imported into the game. They are now fixed, and their JSON strings are updated in their respective pastebins.

+1 this. All the json info is in the pastebin link. It's a multi-link to all the individual pastebin posts with their individual json info.
