yeah, it is sad, but it's not surprising considering the trend of administrative neglect that we've been seeing for the past few years. i've been posting on this site for over ten years. things really started going downhill once devonin was promoted to moderator. he's really driven away a lot of the users that used to post here and a lot of the administrators here are honestly just too apathetic to do anything about it. it's sad when one user can ruin years of fun simply because they have a big ego. i've seen him ban users over personal grudges. i even heard that he advocated for the site to take down the stepfile database. i wouldnt be surprised if he was somehow involved in stopping the Captain Jack tradition. it's really kinda messed up when you think about it. i wish Synthlight would come back and do something about it

While generally enabling and disabling the song is done by the game managers, the process for Captain Jack is entirely manual and we simply missed the date. It was brought up between me and Prawnskunk last week, but didn't pursue it farther.

I've seen a lot of people breaking rules accuse me of having a personal grudge when I don't, because it's a lazy way to make the problem not their own fault.

I had stepfiles in the stepfile database that were lost forever when it was taken down. That decision came from the very top for legal purposes as the site was growing.

I've literally had nothing to do with that at any point in the entire history of the site.

Not sure you actually want that. The last thing Synthlight did where I was concerned was make me an Admin instead of a mod.
