The majority of the hard (~85?+) files I've played and have like 5+ TP on don't show up on my skill rating table. It's still nice to know how I'm doing on those files without having to dig deep. Also, rates are cool and all except that I'm only 0/0 offset stable on FP9, and I know that a lot of people still use 9.

I don't know if I'm just an idiot who can't get it to work or what, but for me the correct R^3 offset is something like 3.28972398709385. 3 isn't enough, 4 is too much, even 3.5 doesn't feel right, and in the meantime every single song feels like I'm playing SSSG.

Am I the only one with this problem? Maybe so. Or else I'm just so attuned to Velo that switching to R^3 will never feel right at all. But unless I can be assured this problem is specific to myself, I just can't get behind any requirement that would force anyone to use what is, from my perspective, unusable.
Please give this thread a look and see if you are still having problems.

Yeah, I am. Every song gives me a different judge offset. It's ranged from pretty much 0, to as far as -1, and a bunch of stuff in between. I don't know how big a jump is enough to affect play but for me a difference of 0.2 would make me drop at least one random good, and a difference of more than 0.5 would make me drop many goods.

I don't know about you guys, but if I have to adjust my offsets for every song, there's something seriously wrong.

ooh, i like this idea. token hints were very weird and i had no idea what they were trying to get me to do. revamped token system sounds great

                Don't worry, you're not alone.
It will take some time to truly adapt to r3,
                Is it worth it?
                I guess, I mean it's really pretty...

When I was configuring my offsets to my playstyle and felt comfortable, I noticed that I would gradually adapt everyday. Meaning i had to change my settings every. Day.
And I'm okay with that cause it shows progress to me. I understood fully why I needed to adjust something
                BUT!
one thing I noticed was when I played on a format that wasn't fp9/10 the arrows fluctuate.

It's really noticeable when I play in browser.
the timing, speed of arrows, song sync, offests, are completely wrong.
I figured it may have just been me and my laptop but now I'm not so sure.
I haven't played in a while though, but I think you're experiencing the same thing. Might haveta run some tests on this.

                Also token revamp is awesome,
I believe this is much much muuuuuch more user friendly.

Wait, so we need Flash player 9 (which, I might add, has been discontinued support by Adobe) for R^3 to work properly?

THAT might be an issue... (running FP21)

                          FP10-12 is best for R^3.

you are correct, i am referring to how vampirism is a transformative state of being that begins by literally grabbing you and sucking out your blood (or metaphorically, your life, as is the case for some when they initially find ffr) and then infuses you with an insatiable hunger that drives you to hunt down prey after prey (tokens) that do nothing to fill the infinite void in your soul. You are then doomed to realize after you drain the last living thing of its blood (achieved all tokens) that both your body and hunger are immortal and you will live in eternal starvation unless you are cured (stepmania).

Revamping the token system is in many ways akin to repopulating an earth entirely inhabited by the undead with living organisms, or re-infecting someone previously cured of vampirism, it is a meaningless gesture that inevitably recreates the problem it was trying to solve to begin with

actually you got me i'm just pulling shit out of my ass; i think revamping tokens is a good idea and it's nice to see an achievement system in a game that involves becoming better at it rather than an arbitrary amount of time invested
