Index Style Tips for D5+ files

Hello, FFR! This is DDRNGGin here, and I would like to have some help from this community.

I am currently a high-D4 Index player who is really looking forward to getting into D5; however, I always seem to get stumped by the FMO files that FFR offers. If any of you within this community have some tips and helpful advice for handling D5+ files on Index, it would be greatly appreciated. (My current key setup is [ASWD].)

Yeah unfortunately FFR doesn't cater to index players (there might be a few charts in the D5 range that are probably easy for index like fotbb).

As a general rule of thumb you should keep index to songpacks specifically structured for that playstyle. FFR is focused on spread.

Would like to note originally this was not the case. IMHO. It used to be either of them really felt acceptable. At least, back when I got into it.

I remember when hands were FMO+ only rofl.

That said, the barrier to D5 is plagued with files that aren't suited to the play style. There are files here and there that you could possibly get away with, but overall, FFR's player base changed and the file's followed suit.

You're already one of the most solid damn players here man if you can get D4 on index.

Edit: That said, you could get into simcharting and try to get an index-able FMO into the game. It'd be neat to see someone strive to accomplish that.

Even when I first played Stepmania/FFR, I have always played Index style. I honestly will most likely not changed my playstyles anytime soon. It really does make me wonder the player base had changed throughout the years, even in Stepmania and FFR.

I truly must thank you for that, but, I actually just got promoted to D5 today on the leaderboards!

Regarding simcharting, I actually have made some files for Stepmania (SSS2 (Already released) and SSS3 (Not yet released)); however, they are not really FMO+ equivalent files. I really do hope I can find a really good song to make D5+ Index Chart for FFR.

You could try AIM Anthem, which is one of the few FMO+ files that are arguably more suited to one-hand play.

holy shit gj on fotbb, my best AAA is only a 69
