    Chromebook Optimization?

I do my FFRing these days from a work-issued HP Chromebook.
Everything seems to be running fine but I notice a slight difference between note sound and when the note or arrow is supposed to be hit.

I notice a lot of options now, including offsets, that didn't exist back when I first played this game a lot so I'm wondering...

If anyone has found a "sweet spot" for the offsets or other options that bring the synchronization of notes and inputs to a desirable setting?

I'll keep messing around on my end, I'd just hoped maybe someone had already discovered this long before me (re: lazy Raccoon).

    Re: Chromebook Optimization?

Offset is something that will vary by user/machine. For some a song will be fine with 1-2 offset, others will be looking at massive offset for certain files. If you're super fine-tuned to the FFR timing windows, you'll notice that different files need slightly different offset in some circumstances which is super frustrating (at least to me). Good news is it's only a few here and there.

If you need a run-down on how the offset features work, let me know. I can explain it for you.
edit: why not, I'll just explain anyway

eg: I use 5 global offset, and 0.24 judge offset

Global offset = visual to audio offset ; change this number to move where the arrows come up in relation to the music
Judge offset = judgement to visual offset ; change this number to move the judgement boxes in relation to the actual arrow receptors at the top of the screen

positive offset moves things back - arrows come up LATER in the song, judgement window is before the receptacles
negative offset moves things forward - earlier arrows compared to the song, judgement window moved after receptacles

Wow that's a pretty good bit of info thanks.
I notice that the issue only really affects older songs (think songs that were hot pre-velocity era) and doesn't affect most of the new stuff.

I'm going to try your settings and see how that works out.

Yeh no problem. And like I said, it varies by person/system so my settings might not make any sense for you. Haha.
