    offset advice [helpme]

Ive made it a point to check my accuracy lately and typically for most songs my accuracy is somewhere in the ballpark of .154 [+/-.554].

Im not exactly sure how to understand this as Ive never played with offsets and would it be beneficial to do so? Considering the consistency of my accuracy?

Could someone with knowledge shed some light on this and perhaps suggest an offset that may help me out?

I just played a song and saw that my accuracy says .427, but I always use 0.5 judge offset and that has always worked for me

I want to say for your judge offset you are going to be between 0.5 and 0.6 or one of those two, so I would start at 0.5 and tinker from there.

Some players also tinker with Global Offset which is completely unknown to me. Using offsets though helps you fine-tune where your perfect timing is and where your other timings would be in terms of spacial area between receptors and the spot where you hit a single arrow.

fwiw if I used no offset at all the perfect timing would be slightly after it goes past the receptor as opposed to on top or right in front of said receptors.

global offset will offet the notes visually, making them appear sooner or later. (timing window shifts with the graphic)

judge offset shifts the timing window with respect to each arrow, shifting it earlier or later depending on your offset

in your case, .154 [+/-.554]. means that you have a deviation of about .554 (frames or seconds? i think it's frames), centered around .154 (frames or seconds). so you can either set your judge offset to .154 if you find that the visuals line up, or your global offset to whatever it currently is, minus .154

So basically judge offset is where I need to be. Music seems perfect with the steps i just need a slightly different judge offset.
