    Running FFR in Flash Player

Quite a few times I've seen players posting scores where FFR is contained in an "Adobe Flash Player" window.

Is there any particular reasoning for this?

I ask because I prefer the R3 engine and at times it seems like I'm getting choppy FPS. My computer is by no means "blow your socks off" powerful but when I can run many games on Ultra with no FPS issues, I am curious as to what is happening. Could someone elaborate?

It reduces lag nearly entirely, making the game much more playable and comfortable.

Here's a pretty basic tutorial on how to do it:

The Flash Player helps reduce the choppiness and lag when playing on R^3 a lot. Right now, I use Flash Player 9 since that seems to be the smoothest one for this engine. I would highly consider using the Flash Player for a "smoother" experience.

AH, you guys are bomb! I'm having trouble downloading Flash 9 via your link though Etienne. I've gone outside of that link and it appears I'm getting the same results that links are broken. =/

For me, the browser runned smoothly up to the moment when they introduced the animated snow in the banner.

I tried using the flash player 9 standalone but it makes the game look laggy.
The flash player 16 standalone works as good as the browser (without the animated snow banner).

Conclusion: 1) the flash player 9 standalone can reduce the lag, but it depends on your PC.
          2) You probably got lag in the browser because of the animated banner.

After having trouble locating flash9 standalone, I just tried flash 16 after seeing your post and still dealt with the same issues. Finally got Flash9 and haven't had a bit of an issue. Etienne and Mahou, thank you so much.
