Stepmania sorting help

So every time I go into stepmania all the songs are sorted by "default" and I was wondering how I could change this to "group" instead. Some people have been telling me it should default to group if I re install but that isn't the case.

Any ideas?

There's a button that changes how songs are grouped. I think it's tab. Just spam your keys until you see what you want to see.

Sorry I don't think I asked the question correctly. What I mean't was if there was a way to make group the default sorting method.

if you're using SM 3.95 open your theme metrics and search this using the ctrl+b keys

[GameState]
UseNameBlacklist=0
DefaultSort=Group
DefaultSong=

just replace default to Group that's all

is there a way to add sorting methods? the theme i have only sorts by group and not by alphabetical order
