When did songs start to click for all of you? When you first start, secret zombie room looks impossible, along with many other songs like breaking the common and the Secret bonus Yoshi round. It was great when it all clicked for me....stayed up late playing...couldnt even finish zombie room...next day i tried it and it just made sense, i could see each arrow and not jsut an impossible flow! Brings a smile to my face.

Mine was Breaking the Common. All of a sudden, I realized I was hitting the keys without thinking about each one. After that it all got easier.Comment

I think my progression was completely gradual and came with much practice.
Breaking the Common was one on which I heavily practiced, and the same thing happened to me, Anti.

One day I was suddenly able to read and play through the entirety of the Yoshi Bonus level. After that I kind of hit a wall, which I broke down once I got SM.

i had DDR long before i ever found FFR. and i remember blanking out repeatedly. still happens sometimes, when i just get in the zone and i'm thinking, but not...kinda weird. like, i'd be sitting there watching the arrows coming and be thinking "i'll never hit all those" then suddenly all these perfects and yellow flashes and my hands just skipping around on the controller. sometimes i do that with other games, but it happened first with DDR.
like that guy said in The Last Samurai: "Too many mind." when u think less, u usually do better. So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =OComment
