    Are There

    Are there still widgets on this game. It's been quite some time since I have played. I always liked playing the widget games because they offered a more fun band related game feel. I cannot seem to find them. anywhere.

              These were removed a while before the site crashed in 2009. They never made it back on the site. I forget the reasoning though.

                  FFR never crashed. i knew what you meant though, i'm just being picky with semantics.

                  anyways, i'm going to take a guess and say the reason there isn't widgets at the moment because it either isn't arc's priority right now or r^3 can't easily be decoupled from FFR.

                  off topic: why isn't r^3 the "official" ffr engine? i figured it was stable enough to be. velo isn't maintained and it shouldn't be the landing page for ffr the game, imo.

                          All the widget files are no longer in game. Xiz the permissions were based on those widgets, so no we can't go just putting any of those bands music in game. It was very specific permissions which is why we don't have the widget files in game anymore. (sorry kinda out of it prob not the most clear explanation but w.e)

                              The fastest way to explain it is that the widgets were essentially "promotional trades" of sorts -- content was desired for FFR, bands/labels wanted some sort of promotion, so it was a trade. We were able to use their songs, they were able to put the FFR widget on their sites.

                                              I like to believe widgets spawned those long rock songs everyone loves that are in the game, dohoho.
