I'm pretty sure this site has been redone and improved a large number of times since it was created. Compared to the basic ffr engine back when the site released the new beta engines and velo engines are incredible. The site layout and design has been changed at least 4 times.

In my opinion this site is really quite good. Now it just needs raw scoring.

@TC_Halogen Fantastic response, great information. I realize I have been "out of the loop" on here persay, I was never really a forum-goer. But, I guess I will just bide my time and wait for more things to happen. I was more so just focused on why the "FFR The Game" itself hadn't changed and that the "FFR Beta" was still just a Beta after so many years. I just want a smootheness to the game comparable to Stepmania X'(

FFR is 30 FPS Stepmania is 60 FPS. You're not going to get the same smoothness between the two games.

As far as FPS, no. But I would prefer it if I didn't have to restart songs until they load cleanly and not choppy.

Just use a standalone to clean up the lag if you are having any...I'll PM you the instructions for one if you'd like that.

This is a problem related to your computer, as it doesn't occur for everyone.

Perhaps this flash player I am using is just terrible, but my computer is definitely well-equipped to handle pretty much everything I throw at it.

What version of flash are you using? The newer flashes tend to run FFR poorly. I personally use flash 8 for FFR some swear by 9.

FFR is 30 FPS Stepmania is 60 FPS. You're not going to get the same smoothness between the two games.

Stepmania can run at a higher FPS.

A widget was something tass made long ago to help people get into the site. They were like, sample easy songs.He'd often put em on kongregate...I think.

EDIT: And Violent, they have the older ones available on adobe flash's site for download, so you're not stuck.

Widgets were basically a small embeddable engine that would feature the artists songs. They would put it on their myspace pages or wherever and it would draw in traffic.

None of the embeds work anymore but this was the old widgets page http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/widgets/
