Let's compare Middie and Dossar for a sec:
- Run multiple well-liked tournaments with good placements? Yes for both.
- Good work ethic? Yes for both.
- Has helped out on the site before? Yes for both.
- Lots of people who hate the person? Yes for both.
- Is an ass to everyone? Yes for Middie only...

This is not a valid argument. I have done this plenty of times myself, same with placements.

qqwref was originally put in D6, NeoMasterPie was put in D1, The J Maxx was put in D2 when he had teens on Since 1983, there was a lot of drama in the 7th official over placements.

There were more inexperienced people on the placement team for the last tournament. If you take note NeoMaster was in d3 or 4 when I did the official and middie was part of that placement team.


Edit: There are reasons why I decided not to go with Dossar and if he wishes to discuss it he can PM me. The one thing I will note publicly is that his application strictly focused around tournaments which was not what I was looking for.

I don't care what you call him, someone who hates everyone and every chart, and who everyone hates in return, does not make a good *anything*.

How does this correlate with anything?

Middie isn't the best person to do things up front because he is disliked by the community due to a lot of issues, but he definitely knows how to handle his own when taking on the responsibilities/logistics of events. I would easily consider him a better tournament host than a good majority of the people on this site simply because he can handle pressure and will make changes to things accordingly. If things aren't going to be done on time, he makes note of it way before it becomes a problem and everyone is aware of it.

Being behind-the-scenes is a perfect job for Middie. People need to stop unleashing/bandwagoning hate on top of people in this community, because it happens all too often. I'm still pretty ticked off about what Middie did in the last DF custom tournament, but I'm not casting stones and calling him out for being shitty at what he does -- that would be an absolutely retarded assumption to make. He's going to be working with us, and I look forward to see the kind of things he will come up with on the back-end to make the entire community happy.

The whole purpose of event helpers was to assist/create in official events (with approval) for the community to enjoy (to promote and encourage activity), and while Middie has been brought to the team for behind-the-scenes work, he isn't officially listed as a "event helper", and he won't be running his own events here. With that being said, can we all just get along for once and see what happens with this new idea?

No, it's because I was looking for people who had a diverse set of things to offer for multiple events around the site. Again, if you wish to speak with me about it you may do so through skype or another private medium. You also don't have as much time being that you're busy with college.

You all are getting up in arms when there's only actually 3 event helpers that are publicly doing anything. Middie was already on my placement team for the official when we decided we were doing it over a month ago.
