    Exchange tips to get better

    Hey everyone,

I came up with an idea to share to tips/hints for everyone who want share/want tips.
You can give about a playstyle and general tip for all players (beginners to veterans).

I'll update the list in this post and i already have some tips/hints.

    Most important tips:
    - Pratice and have fun!!
    - Avoid becomming obsessed with AAAing and FCing things.

    General tips:
    - If you got stuck on FFR try to play another engine or pratice in StepMania/DanceDanceRevolution.
    - When your arrow keys have ghosting try to set it to your numpad if you have a numpad otherwise try some letters on the keyboard.
    - Play songs which are out of your comfort zone like you 5's try to play 6's/7's or higher to get used to the arrows at the difficulty.
    - Keep your wrists straight and your fingers curled.
    - If you want to improve fast and play a bit easier play spread that's easiest style out there.

The first general tip helped me alot .

IMO if you're still pretty new to the game a great tip is to keep playing harder songs (while avoiding mashing) and worry about accuracy farther down the road maybe around the time said person is going for a [heavy] unlock.

This is probably the best advice you can get for improving fast, you should play songs a little out of your comfort zone. For example, if you can FC high 10 to mid 11s with ease, you can try out some low 12s and high 11s. They'll become easier overtime, and it's good to take small steps.

Don't pick anything that's say, mid 12 or higher since you probably don't know what you're doing in songs like those at your skill level (If you can FC high 10s or mid 11s).

Re: Exchange tips to get better

        Ty for the tips.
I'm still improving and i don't know what i'm doing with the arrows of a dif 7 song XD.

I play one-handed and they say the improvement rate of that style is slower.

As a sidenote i made this thread where ppl can give tips/hints to others not especially for me, but for everyone.
And that i end up with a big list of tips/hints for everyone and provided by everyone who got tips/hints.

EDIT: i added the tip about playing out of your comfort zone.

Re: Exchange tips to get better

The most important tips i can think of have been said already, the only other thing i think is worth mentioning is to avoid becomming obsessed with AAAing things.

Spending all your time whoring a song trying to shave off a few goods for the AAA will just leave you frustrated with mindblocks, and wont help you improve at all. Trust me, worry about getting good first (play hard songs out of your comfort level, hit as many arrows as you can see as accuratly as you can, dont mash (it becomes a bad habit and is hard to break)) and then when your a beast you can go back and AAA songs like nothing .

Even though main scoring is combo-based, just worry about accuracy. The full comboing skills will come with time and practice.

As far as play styles, use spread, its the most flexible style and easiest to improve with.

              MUST... AAA...

FMO AAAs (27): Epidermis, Exciting Hyper Highspeed Star, Rottel-da-station, Disconnected Hardkore, Melonmans OP, Battle Theme #37, Fast Asleep, Gacha Gacha Hertz Figu atto Radio, Puzzle, Midnight Dragon, Distorted God, Variations 2, Strangeprogram, Arrogant Cobbler, Kanon Medly ~Metal Wings~, Dance and Zeal, Heavenly Spores, Document 13b, The Divine Suicide of K, Yorukumoryuu Yamikaze, Summer Time Perfume, Chaosmaid, Colorful Course, O (piano version), Ambient Angels, Defection, Jeanie and Caroline

Yeah, from AAAing one song over and over is indeed not the best thing to do. I kept trying for 40 minutes on 1 song. After that i was frusteted as hell and i ended up with a BF. I'm contuening to play harder songs and getting better and try later to AAA 'For Who i am' the ending part is anoying.
