Hitting 3 notes at the same time

Hi guys, im not new here ive been playing ffr on and off for years now this is just a new account.

I love this game but one of the few problems i have with it is hitting 3 notes simultaneously. I figured out a few months ago on sm that this a limitation on most laptop keyboards when using the arrow keys to play, which i do. the keyboard cannot detect more than 2 of the arrow keys being pressed at a time.

I know a solution to this is just changing the keys i play with, which i do it's just that im so used to playing with the arrow keys that i usually struggle with the rest of the song

this is preventing me from fcing easy songs and the only thing that makes me rage harder is lag. im not saying these should be taken out of every song (this would make me very happy though lol)

any other thoughts anyone? or does anyone have the same problem?

I know you can simply plug a regular keyboard in your laptop's USB in order to use three keys at a time. If you want to reduce lag, check out this thread:

For some reason ASKL doesn't hit 3 arrows simultaniously, but QWL; does, try different layouts and see if they work, possibly including punctuation? I have no idea why that is on my keyboard but, worth a shot

holding both shift keys and typing various combinations will tell you if you can hit those keys simultaneously or not.

Example: DFKL works perfectly. but QU [qwyu] does not. meaning I can do quads/hands with DFKL but not qwyu.

Not sure if this is 100% accurate but it seems to work 100% for me.
