Once again, we welcome Halloween with ANOTHER Week of Trick or Treat! If you have no idea what A Week of Trick or Treat is, it’s a scavenger hunt using various Halloween images that have been hidden around the site by the FFR Events Bunny+Team (shoutouts to PrawnSkunk for actually doing the hiding). They can be basically anything on the site, profiles, thread, random .html or .php pages in and around the site, etc.
Rules
- If you think you have found something that dictates a halloween image hidden by the events team, please take a screenshot of it, and use an image editing tool to circle the hidden halloween image so we know that you've found it properly.
- Private message the FFR Events account with the images you find. Use spoiler tags when submitting multiple images for the Events' team computers' sake please. If you're sending almost all of them at once, a zip folder would be the best option. Just put all the images into a zip, host them for us and send us the link. If you send your images to anyone but the FFR Events team account, your submission will not be counted.
- Make sure to include the url for the page in your screen shot. (some of the locations might look similar in a cropped screenshot)
- Please use paint or another program that will allow you to put a circle or something around the Halloween image, this way we know you did in fact find the image.
- Failure to comply with screenshot specifications will lead to rejected images
- Do not give away the location of the images. Anyone caught doing so will be disqualified from receiving any prizes. This is also grounds for a ban from the site.
- Do not try to get more credits by making/using an alt account. We will check IP’s. This also may result in a ban from the site.
- Do not give your own hints in the thread to help people. The hints that are given vary in difficulty based on the prize the image gives.
- Do not give away the images to other users, nor post them in places to confuse other participants (such as your profile, avatar and signature). Anyone caught doing so will be disqualified. Anyone continuing to do so will be banned.
- Do not attempt to "hide" a Halloween image in your own profile, or elsewhere on the site to throw people off. This will be grounds for disqualification (on a case-by-case basis, for example, if you happen to want to use a Halloween avatar, then that would be fine, but putting a copy of one of the hidden icons on your profile would be grounds for disqualification.)
- That being said, there's instances where people already have Halloween avatars and such. If users send in those as spots, they will be detailed in this post that they are not actually images hidden for you to find.
- You have 1 week to find all the images that you can. This event will end on Thursday, November 5th at 11:00 pm server time (Midnight EST).
- There may be images up from previous year hunts. Those are tricks, and it's best to avoid them - turning those in won't net you any prizes
Prizes
This year is a little bit different in terms of prizes. In order to further deter cheating, the prize system is set up so that the less an image is found, the bigger the credit payout will be.
This being said, there are definitely some token prizes that will be up for grabs if you manage to single out an image for yourself!
