The piano playing in this song strongly suggests to make for a flowy file, but the chart was anything but (could possibly be attributed to an emphasis on buzzes as opposed to piano). Still fun to score on from the perspective of replayability.

Really? It's a dissonant etude. If anything, the dissonant piano suggests disjointedness and difficulty in patterning.

I want to be mad, but A. you were very nice about it and B. I think your opinion is correct. So no mad here, if anything I'm mad at myself because I feel I should have known this is how it would wind up being received. I'll just apologize again for the awkwardness but be proud of the fact it's a good scoring file and feels like a worthy accomplishment when you do finally get it. Thanks for the reviews.

There really is nothing to be mad about - remember, you need to enjoy the file yourself first and foremost. Reception is always going to consist of a mix of opinions, so make sure you're satisfied first before you end up being a servant to everyone else.

I'm confused as to how that can be interpreted as trolling. Dissonant melody -> notes all over the place -> can be reflected in the chart.

taking away from pitch relevancy in order to accent dissonance with dissonant patterns, don't really see anything wrong with it

Just forget it, it's just how he words his posts in a more confrontational manner. A dissonant song doesn't necessarily mean it needs to translate to disjointed steps. Dissonance is simply a way of describing the harmonic nature of the song, not so much the texture. That's my reasoning there. If the music still sounds flowy, then so be it. Again, that's just my interpretation.

Truth was kinda cool, although I had an issue with the kicks during the 12ths being placed on a 12th when it's actually on an 8th. Would have given the file a bit more playability, and imo, would have been less awkward.

that might explain why something feels just off w/ the file.
also, what was it rated originally?
