There are songs on SM by them, do I still have to get their permission for FFR? Or is it already ok because they gave someone permission for SM? I really want to step one of their songs.

They are on ITG, so I doubt you would be able to get permission without having to pay royalties.

Nobody gives permission for songs to be on Stepmania.

On SM no one gives a s*** about anything as far as song permission/licensing goes.

TRD... ITG and DDR are VASTLY different. see Kyle Ward, ITG's main contributor... yet we have blanket permission as well to use his music.

you'd just need to ask, and I would imagine that you'd get permission. Roxor was much friendlier than Konami, for fairly obvious reasons.
