Rofl, iono. It just would not be fair for the other D5 players. It's basically like asking to join a tourney when they're already in the final round.
It is an elimination tournament; for all anyone knows, you could've been eliminated before reaching the final round. Hence the unfair part of you joining D5 at the last moment(s).
But, yea; I would also want to be moved up if I were you, but it just isn't fair.

btw, I stalk this thread too much, and often have very little to contribute. just went on a mini rant in a tourney thread... and I'd appreciate an honest insight from people here who have obviously been posting scores for a while and know what kind of player does well at what and has just seen it all to go through my level ranks and tell me what division I really should belong in.

Please don't just scroll through and see I have over half of FFR AAA'd, I've whored for my scores. Every single one of them. My ranks wouldn't improve by 0.100 percent if I were to play every song I haven't AAA'd already once. I sit and play a song until I have the best score I can possibly get on it, or until mindblocks fuc me.

So consider what I would be facing in the final rounds of D1-D4 please, and let me know where you think I stand a fair chance. Don't ask what difficulties are expected in the final rounds of each division, just go off what you would expect, and let me know where you think I would be fairly placed.

If you're willing or wanting to do this and can't, i can go to the "post your levelranks" thread and dump my spreadsheet there for you to view.

Please send any and all feedback/comments in a PM. I'd prefer if judgment wasn't clouded by others opinions, but can't really help it if you post your feedback here i suppose.
