That's because with mechanical keyboards, you can press halfway down and it will still register unlike flat and regular dome keyboards where you have to press all the way down.

Btw Staiain, what is the name of that keyboard? o.o

EDIT: Now that I look at it closely, it's really similar to the Razer BlackWidow keyboard but the lighting is different

It's the qpad mk-80, pretty expensive but it's good for more than sm too so it's worth it
