I get the same thing, WHEN you click the link that you gave us on your first post and it goes to the site what do we do then? I comes up to something that says low or high quality then goes to some random sh*t....

Click the big "play" icon in the center of the video...? It's red at first, it will cycle after you click it and turn green. Then click it again and wach the video.

Not convinced, and I have six reasons why (including one incredibly glaring error) -- not stating them here because I don't want to give people ideas. I'd have to get you on a video chat to know for sure because videos don't prove a thing.

Cute. Also video chat? I'm fairly sure that my video gives quite enough proof of my legitamacy. I am avalable on Skype for any questions and / or concerns if you wish to ask away there. I would like to hear about these "errors".

There is something glaring in the video that can be very, very easily addressed with a blogTV + manycam viewing


Again, this isn't a BS call -- it's the same deal with the leonid thing. There's something in the video that is hugely, hugely questionable and needs a closer look.

Basic requirements for a proof video:

1. Boot up the computer
2. Show the list of background processes
3. Launch FFR
4. Show that only four keys get registered
5. Show that not hitting notes results in misses
6. Show that hitting the blank spot gets boos
7. Show that inaccurately hitting notes gets goods/avgs
8. Show the list of background processes right before playing a song
9. Get omgwtfbbq score
10. Show the list of background processes once again
11. LeDgE iT

You've done this before Leonid, to prove your scores are legit.

I never thought you were bs in the slightest. I almost never think anyone is bs, people worry about that waaaaaay more than they should. Who would cheat honestly? A very slim amount of people, very rarely those who spend time in the community.

People have never called me bs and I have never made a video, I just suck.

just to put in my 2 cents, and not to pull a kepogata here, but 99% of the time it's pretty easy to watch someone play a song and listen to the judgement vs. notes vs. keytaps to see if everything is on the up and up. maybe show the file path and .ini before loading but still. in my experience it's not all that difficult to discern when the keytaps i'm hearing don't match the judgement that they're given.

i mean personally i subscribe to the school of "there's literally no point in playing stepmania if you're cheating to get good scores to get people to like you, ps. i feel sorry for you if you do." think about it. why would you cheat at stepmania unless you're planning on posting the scores on some internet board/forum/showing off to your friends? to be able to think to yourself "hehu i'm so awesome AA/AAA/AAAA *insert song here*"? from my point of view, either alternative is pretty sad, and basically fosters a community culture of doubt and disrespect, much like what happened for an extended period of time on FFR/ODI.

tldr; philosophically speaking i'd rather believe that people are legit unless i've been given a solid reason to doubt them, because thinking about the alternative makes me sad.

Immediately thinking BS creates a community of distrust and hostility, which is "what makes this game so serious" (lol that comment). Some scores like the jacked ones are obvious but if someone like foxfire has been doing it for a really long time, I doubt he'd want to waste his time after spending so long on this game because it would be completely pointless, and new names should be coming into this game so it's not just the same players I see all the time.
