I guess that came off wrong?
I wasn't implying anything about me doubting Rubix's legitimacy, I do believe Rubix is legit.
My post was a reply to leonid's post on the page before about how he had played at that meetup he held, and therefore those 3 can back up each others legitimacy. I was simply stating that even playing in front of someone doesn't prove that person hasn't cheating in the past, or won't cheat in the future.
Reason why I advocate this approach is that you see exactly where you screw up the hardest. Most of DP is AAA fodder except for four sections, which I have in four different files (the 24th trills with the grace notes, the clusters after the slow part, the ending jump****s, and the final megatrill).
The trill files are kinda easy, but the jumpglut files are invaluable. You learn how to read them and how fast they really are. Without mashing, your scores go up like ****. Much like RATO, most scores on the files are crap because of overmashing, and as we can see with beginning FFR players who also mash on easy files, mashing comes into play when we can't read things or if we misgauge the speed. DP and RATO aren't absurdly fast such that they require mashing (although I did mash a bit on RATO), and, at least for me, it was a reading issue. It's also partially risk aversion. If you have a FC up until that point, you're going to mash to maintain it.
Learn to read the ending, figure out how fast it really is, know what's coming, don't mash, and you'll get a better score and thank me later for it.
Even though you were watching me and could see/hear everything?
Alright you know what, I seriously don't care anymore. If you want to improve your DP, get the RAR. If you want to keep mashing like a tard, go right ahead.
Bwahaha Tricked Rubix for a few second. Life is now complete.
As far as the rar goes, I just think most people find files like DP and RATO outside of their comfort range, and as such don't really attack them correctly. It's probably why a lot of people haven't been downloading the files. Also obligatory people are sacred of new things
AAA's = 800

Manti, I apologize for insulting you. Let the record show that I am a prickass douche, and not only that, but that I am a terrible player.

This is a good point too. I feel like those two files get horribly underplayed to begin with because they're just seen as "obvious mashfiles" that people FC and call it good. Putting some time into things shows that mashing isn't necessary on these files.
