Why do we care if hes BS or not? Honestly?
EVERY TIME we get a new good player we go through this process and its frigging stupid.
He's decent at the game, he can hit the arrows. No big deal. i've seen MUCH MUCH MUCH better, so if you call leon bs. That must mean, Thaor, Wooke, Dossar, all of them are bs.
I honestly think people just get jealous and anybody that is better than them, they call bs.

It's because some players you are able to see them gradually get better. Like going from only AAA'ing difficult songs to AAA'ing Guru songs in 2 years. You assume that they didn't cheat because you saw them gradually getting better. If a new person starts playing and AAAs an FMO song, people will doubt it because there is no reason why someone new to a game will be better than people who have been playing FFR for years. No one knows if they have played for 50 years on stepmania.

I was just as good as him back in the day, i just didn't brag. So nobody knew who I was, and my skill level hasn't moved since then.
Also, people who brag about being good at FFR... rofl.

But it's stupid to even care. It's a flash game, you guys take it so seriously. It's not like anyone is going to go up to you and say "Hey, you're that guy from that one website!". So his cheated score beats yours, does it matter? I mean people know that you're already a good player such as Tera and Rubix. If someone beats there score, do you think they are gonna think anything less of how good they are? Not at all. say if some noob beat Rubix's score, I'm not gonna be all "You suck Rubix, you got beaten by a noob". All in all, it's a flash game guys, get over it. >.>

It's all about progression, I think, as Commandersa1 stated. When you're able to see the skill improvements over time, it seems much more realistic than if someone comes out of nowhere and starts supping people left and right. Everyone who's joined this community/pwned scores quickly has usually had BS calls thrown against them.

Couple that with the fact that many hacking/cheating scripts are so widely available (and, luckily, easily detectable), and you've got a situation where it's hard to trust newcomers by screenshots alone. All sorts of people have been caught over time and so it's only natural that people get suspicious.

However, people normally go about it in a really retarded way. "He's BS!" "No he's not!" "Yes he is!" "Durrrr!" "Darrhghghh!!" Videos are great. The Vidchat is great. Replays are great. If you want to figure out if someone's legitimate or not, learn to look for the right cues.

1. Hand sync: If they're just tapping randomly and it doesn't fit the music at all, that's usually a bad sign. ALRIGHT GUYSSS I'M GONNA PLAY FROOZEENNN TODAYYY.
2. Reverse + Dark or whatever: A few autoplay scripts require it for graphic placement reasons. Doesn't automatically mean they're cheating, but it's usually suspicious.
3. Replays: If arrows are constantly being hit in the same frame, it's likely an autoplayer or slowdown hack.
4. Unnatural skill gains: If someone sucks at everything then suddenly becomes a god in a week, it's more likely to be BS. It's not impossible that people improve skill quickly, but it just means you should pay close attention to everything else.
5. No sound in video or unnatural jerkiness: Probably an edited video/sped up.
6. Way too many boos in certain sections: Likely DS (see CP trill).

Those things are enough to catch pretty much anyone.

Yeah I'm quite positive this person is bs, I saw him playing on a video and the fat free milk just gave it away
