Well....all I can say is: omg.
Today kinda started off badly: I got one miss on Shanghai Girl of Meiji 17, and then on NWE. Pisser.
Then, it got better. I got a 17 good FC on Dot Matrix Hero, and then a 9-1-0-1 on Gradeus. Better.
But then....
My luck gradually ascended, until I finally achieved my ultimate goal on FFR, the one I made to myself when I just started out at the game: Get Heavy.
I knew it would be hard, considering I only play with one hand. So I began to search out songs I had the best chance of unlocking it on. Ruins is way too hard, Amefuri Koneko and Video Out A were easier, but I kept getting goods in various places: so no. I almost got it on Evil Approaches: AAAed the first 60% of the song, and my best score is 6-0-0-1. But, the only song that I could realistically get it on was TGWP Part 4. Why? No really complicated patterns, and IMO, it's the easiest of the Heavy unlocking songs to PA.
Guess what? I finally made it past the jumps, trills, and bursts...and got it.
I nearly got sick from the intense amounts of adrenaline coursing through my body. I was shaking sooo hard after I made it past the 64th bursts, because the rest of the song is easy - if I could make it through without screwing up, Heavy was mine. Despite all the shaking, I prevailed.
If Oni is the Masters Degree of FFR for spread players and indexers, then Heavy is for one handers. Personally, I feel pretty ****ing good at the moment.
Next stop: Oni. AIM Anthem would probably be my best bet.
EDIT: Also hit 225 public AAAs.
