Well, I finally B'd Cynic... for most of you guys, this isn't a big deal, but to me, its a pretty big accomplishment... I usually C it, so I was suprised as hell when I B'd it.

I beat Cynic today for the first time... first time playing Stepmania in a week and a half... first time playing Cynic in a month (haven't played the stepfile but 5 or so times)... I got a lot less greats, but 4 more misses than you Anuj.

oh god, now i figured out why I was always doing so bad on cynic... i always thought the bpm of the song was 418 or so, so i always played on 1.5x arrow speed... i just played on 2x, and i almost A'd it.. got a score of 84713212...
im not gonna screen that, but you can expect a screenshot of me A'ing it very soon...

Cynic is easier on 1.5x if you're actually reading+hitting the arrows. Its retard and too fast on 2x, but more open to mashing.

it depends on what apm you can read... since im a 4 fingered player, it takes less time to react to 630 apm or whatever, because my finger is already on the key. I just gotta lift it and tap :P
If you can read the faster arrow speed, you'll also get a higher score because your timing will be way better... i myself can easily AAA songs (yeah, newb songs :P) on 600 apm, but usually sdg the same thing on 400 apm... all a matter of preference i guess

1.5 and 2 are both fine... You shouldn't have to mash on either one... The only part I usually miss on is this one bunch of crap near the start and the crazy ending.
