I am from Canada as well. Not up to the standard of the good players, but I could play depending on how large the teams are.

That depends. Since there's multiple divisions, the USA index team (Izzy/nigma/possibly myself?/others) would be formidable and the USA pad team (DukAmok/JJ/Blake/EvilDave/others) would be unstoppable.

This is pretty interesting. I doubt that I'm good enough to be on the Team USA, but it would be pretty cool to have.
