someone ridiculous at sm could learn to screenshrink, learn to cope with jack syncdrome, and be insanely good at this game right off the bat

Dynamo played a LOT (top 100 overall rank), he got really good, but not Tier 1 good

Bluemystic also tried for a little while a long time ago (he was still insane at SM then) and never really got much of anywhere, low tier 2-ish

It's really not all that easy for even the very best SM players to get to a Tier 1 level of FFR play...most could probably get Tier 2 pretty fast, but Tier 1 takes a while.

Seriously though. How are people able to incorperate that much playtime into their schedual? I get an hour of playtime in a day and I cant touch that.

I didn't deny it was more than me, I said it wasn't all THAT much more.

And I know I got around 3.4 bil in my first 3 months (back then that was rank 5)...so yeah.

meh. your forgetting i didnt even start playing until sometime during summer of 06. and at one point had 5bil in 2 months. lol

Again, look at Dynamo. Thousands of played games, insane SM player, not nearly as insane at FFR.

SM skill simply does not transfer to FFR nearly as much as you'd think. I'm not sure exactly why it doesn't, but it definitely doesn't.
