neither did I, but we can't deny these scores are pretty bad, even for a beginner.

I don't think every beginner would be able to pass Holy Orders. >_> Even if it's a low C. It's kinda the only score I can comment on, though.

That's not nice... I have a good sense of rythym, just haven't perfected the finger timing, I do a lot better with MA on fast, streaming things. I'll post an Afronova score or something, but it's really not much better than the bag score...

Only reason i'm not getting a A or B on holy orders is those jumpy jack bits and my stamina kinda kills me near the end...

I can pass LWIV when I'm perfectly at the top of my game. I'll see if I can get a score of that for you guys.

Wow, I just tried to give some tips. I meant the scores are bad, because getting more greats than marvelouses is quite... unusual. Passing the songs after 2 months is certainly not that bad. So I think you should rather work on timing first, before continueing to play harder songs.

          Whatever. Good job, awesome scores.

            Re: Noob scores

The Holy Orders score wasn't that bad actually, but you probably messed up on the 16th note jump jack combos and maybe the accelerated guitar solo sections, basically which only require some training so you can do it quicker and more accurately.

I wouldn't use C775 if you are using SM, but if you are using something like the ITG simulators (skins), C775 wouldn't be too bad.

Tweak it back to about C700 and see how you do there - I find C700 for the most part to be the most comfortable setting.

If you can't comprehend the jacks into jumps thing in Holy Orders, listen to it once with autoplay (F8) and assist tick (F7) on. (if it's not F7 try F4, it varies between the game and the editor so I can never remember which)

EDIT: And make sure you have two speakers working, since some of the sounds are on the right channel only and you'll only hear silence otherwise

It's not that I can't comprehend it, just that I can't do jacks at all yet, throw in jumps and it's just... hard, i haven't gotten any jack practice from most of the stuff I play.

Tips are fine, I know I don't have good MA, just pointing out you were mean. And I only got more greats than marvs on Agnus Dei cus it's really hard for me.

Can't post scores here, I'll see if I can get some monday on C700 and maybe some better MA

if the great count is substantially high, it just means you are trailing off beat a lot. Just as a personal note, people who create SM files usually try to time it exactly, so there is no pre-emptive keystrokes needed here. Chances are (and I can guarantee this) you probably are tapping too early.

If his computer is old it's possible that there's a slight lag between the visual (his monitor) and the computer itself. Or even the keyboard.

PA and MA tend to improve as time goes on, though, unless you have a technological disadvantage like the above.

EDIT: If you're only getting 30 FPS that also makes it very difficult to time.

60 is as good as you'll ever need (unless you're one of those people who have exceptionally vast refresh rate for the eyes, like those people who are irritated by the flickering of flouresent lights)

Please don't call all of someone's scores "bad"...you can call a score bad for someone's skill level, but saying someone is just bad at the game when they've only been playing 2 months isn't very nice, everyone is a noob at some point =/

Manga, a suggestion: don't bother with songs that you can't properly read (ie the ones you're B'ing). They're a waste of time as far as improving is concerned. If you want to improve quickly, play songs you can barely read and combo some parts of...and accuracy will come on its own.
