C400 is all I use and I do very well with it.

go to Stepmania-Themes-Default-Metrics-ctrl F c200-change both c200's to Cwhatever you want.
Awsome scores for c400. turn noteskins to *note* also.

go to the themes folder and go to metrics.once u open is press ctrl F and look for c400 and change it to watever u want

To make more speed mods, you need to do these steps:

1) Open up your stepmania folder
2) Go into the 'Themes' folder, from there go into 'default'
3) Open up the 'metrics' document
4) Hit ctrl+f and search for 'C400'...once you're there, a list of different speeds will come up.
5) To add another speed, make a new line right after C400 and type in the exact same thing that is typed in for C400, except replace 'C400' with the speed of your choice.
6) Also, change the Speed number on the left to the proper number.
7) There is a number at the top of all of the speed mods which says "Speed="....this is the number of speed mods that you have to choose from, so be sure to change the number whenever you add more mods.
8) Now, save the file and close it

Now hold on, you aren't done yet lol

9) In the default folder, go into the "Languages" folder.
10) Open the 'english' document
11) Search for 'C400' again like last time
12) This part is easy, all you have to do is make a new line with the speed mod you have added (for example, 'C600=C600'
13) Save the file and close it

Now you're done!
