You didn't mention Bow, who is insanely when used against enemies with no defense rating.
Kooper is only good at the beginning of the game (killing bob-ombs) and at the end (killing Dry Bones).
Watt is really good against defense enemies, Parakarry just blows, Bombette is only good against Clefts, Sushie is useless except against Embers (and the lower level one in the volcano, forget what that's called), Goombario is actually pretty damn useful late-game (charged multibonk for over 100 damage rofl) but blows early on. Oh and Lakilester, who I assume you don't have yet, is only useful for his ability to shield you, which is pretty nice.
I know way too much about that game, I got all the star pieces, badges, and recipies, and a level 27 ><

4th Official FFR Tournament - Master division champion!
On my first playthrough I didn't collect all the Star Pieces because my first playthrough is always clean. The second time I went around, I went online to find all of them because the first time I ended up missingl ike 30 of them lol.
To get all of them I just talked to that fortune teller girl at the base of the mountain haha, the only thing I needed help on was getting a couple of the last recipes =X
quadmash the jacks in blur shash, these guys dont actually do the jacks properly in blur, otherwise they'd fail like right away on the jacks part \=
I don't quadmash. I do the first set of single jacks like normal, I do the 2nd set like doubles (in order to get it when it goes llllllll(l+d)dddddd etc) then I do the final set like they are supposed to be done (l+r x about 7?, u+d etc) then I hit the last little bit easily to get a start on a combo.
I don't mash on songs too much unless they are retarded like System Oni or DM edit or something. Hell even in amber shores I don't mash and can get near a 200 combo, still can't pass haha, I just take all the bits in Amber Shores as alternating doubles, so it's modified mashing but still hitting correctly at times.
