I just started to play sm =/

I just started a few days ago and I wanted to know how I could get better. They aren't really good scores, its just some scores to show how good (or bad) I am after a few days.
Ha, I really am enjoying these Rhapsody songs just because I really do like the steps for them. Also, I need to work on streams so these help out a lot.

God, why do people always think there's a magic way to get better at stuff? You get better at Stepmania the way you get better at almost everything else.

It's hard for us to tell how good you are if you play files we don't have. I would suggest finding a few common packs that have files that the community recognizes off of forum threads/Limewire/Bittorrent:

- Keyboard Mega Pack (don't get the second one)
- Community Keyboard Mega Pack (get the second one if you want)
- Keyboard Collaboration I
- Keyboard Collaboration II
- Keyboard Collaboration III
- Skor's Selection of High-Quality Simfiles

I'm not an idiot so don't treat me like one. Sorry for the wording but I was asking for advice on how to get better at reading steps I guess you could say. Like, what is a good example for a song with jump streams that will help me get used to them? That sort of thing. Sorry for the vagueness...

Simple, play songs with those patterns in them, play songs that are challenge to you but not overwhelming.

Cam you're a cool guy, but it gets annoying when people ask how to get better. PRACTICE. Get those packs Torajui or whatever mentioned and play the hell out of the songs in them.

The way to get better that iv seen is basicaly first you probably want to figure what your good at like spread index one-handed ect

then you like most of the people here said is to do songs that challenge you but arent like omg if you know what I mean

You don't seem to read what I'm saying. You just take me as some person going ZOMG HELP ME PLZ IONO HOW 2 GET BETTER. In a sense, yes I am asking how to get better, but I'm also asking for some examples of songs to play TO practice. That's what I meant. To start things off... WHAT IS AN EXAMPLE OF A SONG THAT HAS A LOT OF JUMP STREAMS THAT ARE ONLY MODERATELY CHALLENGING. I don't know how to make that more clear to you =/

Im going to be honest to say that you should start out with the older artists that makes files that are more fun than technical and etc.

Then after a while progress to the newer artists.
