You use C400. Bump that to like 650 and it'll be MUCH easier.

Go into stepmania folder...

Stepmania > Themes > Default

Open the metrics.ini file. Scroll down to about 90% of the way down, and you'll find a part called [ScreenOptionsMaster]. Edit the speeds to your heart's content.

Ok ty I will try it out and here is another pic for you people this one was done with my dads laptop and if you dont know laptop keys are realy realy close together then computer keyboard keys so its a little weird for me but here ya go ^_^

No mods ! You should try to get used to playing songs with a cmod higher then C400, as mentioned, you'll improve a lot when you've gotten used to it. Check this guide: http://www.stepmaniaonline.com/wiki/...p?title=C_Mods
I recommend using C500 maybe and upping it all the time, when you've started playing harder keyboardsongs you should be able to play C600 at least.

Then configure the keys so that you are using a more spaced out layout? Like instead of using (example) ghjk, use sfhk, or something like that.

Keep playing, you'll improve, as kles said. Try to keep upping your speed (but not straight to C650) to whatever you're comfortable with, when you are move it up again, eventually you'll find you're not comfortable with a speed (for me that was C750) and then move down to what you feel is your optimal speed.

Get the CKBMP, KBMP, and KBC, all those are musts. Also, JCM might be right up your alley, difficulty wise.
