The scoring is mostly based on DP% and number of DP, so if you whore Emerald and stuff your rank will go up way faster than normal, I'm trying to get them to factor in difficulty of songs but they say people will just edit the difficulties.

the ranking is not depending on DP at all. Its depending on how many keys you press in a certain amount of time and how many songs you have played. Yes you if play really fast songs you will get more seed then slower songs.
