    SM Alpha 23 *Warning*

I would put this in the Stepmania forum, but it would be seen by too few. Most everyone that comes here plays Stepmania anyway.

    SM Alpha 23 *Warning*

99% of all of my songs are off by around 20-30 gap. For those of you who don't know what gap is, it is one of the two factors involved in the syncing of your songs. The other, BPM, is rarely a problem.

Almost all gap values are around 25 lower than they should be. I've had a couple extreme differences, such as aperson's Leading Cyber, which was off by 46. I highly suggest you autosync all your songs again as you play them.

I say this because this is the alpha that has SMLan. Almost every alpha has slight gap differences, but this is worse, and it's in an alpha where people are showing off scores.

I noticed this when I was SMLan'd with banditcom, and noticed I was getting horrible scores, when I knew I was doing fine. I started autosyncing and realized how serious the problem was. The combination of lag and offsync song was not good.

Your lag was horrible. 10 second delays suck.

But good info. I'd go to the Stepmania forum in Stepmania.com and post about this.

Ditto to Kenzya. I don't notice any type of difference at all.

Especially not on SMLAN. It's normal there except for their little bugs.
