not going to make a huge post about this but there's literally no point in me continuing to play. no one really plays solo, i have no chance at competition in 4k, no one enjoys my charts. i don't enjoy bms that much anymore either, the main reason i was playing was to reach a certain goal, not to have fun.
i doubt i'll pick up either of these again.
if the meta at o!m was different, i'd probably make charts for that but if sm dudes don't like my charts, o!m dudes will absolutely hate them rofl.

I think your SM charts are cool if a bit insane. Certainly, there is no lack of creativity in them! It's always nice to see someone trying something different. Glad to hear you've reached your goal, sad to hear you don't seem to have had fun doing it.

then you're playing for the wrong reasons dude.

it's gotten stale over the years but it was because it didn't provide new enjoyment, not because nobody else played.

it helps a lot when you have others who play too, but my most played game recently is dr. mario 64.

when I pick up solo again it's because I regain fun/interest. you should too one day.

no, I've definitely enjoyed my time playing solo a lot more than the time I've played singles. there was a significantly higher sense of accomplishment whenever I got scores, and the patterns are just way more fun. the current 4k meta is jumpstream. you play a few high level sm charts, and you've effectively played them all.

but idk, I've gotten to a point where I'm... kinda capped by the amount of charts there are. like yeah I can play stuff on rates but after a while things start to get stale.
with the handful of people playing solo, there isn't an incentive to make new charts. if new charts aren't being made, there's really no future for solo.

bms I was definitely not playing for a fun factor. I was playing mostly to reach a certain goal, and I'm kinda disinterested now in reaching that goal.

I might play again in the future, but I don't really plan on it. I don't see anything changing that would pique my interest enough to reinstall.

Whenever I have random fiffer/sm days I almost always play either My Half or Robotomy at least once
