if anything I desperately want to believe these scores are real
the reason I stopped playing index with the intent to get better like eight years ago was because I thought I had reached close to the limit of how good we could be, and only after trying my hand at the WFD speed rankings did I make a conscious effort to improve, realizing that we're far below our potential collectively
like, it took something like a year for people to beat my reality scores on index, and when they did, it was by a letter grade. the best anyone had done for like 2-3 years was a C on disregard. so, when I finally see scores better than mine, I think "okay, so if I try really hard, I might be able to improve by ... a letter grade or two and make a crappy pass on disregard"
this score is effectively saying "you can improve so much more than you think you can" and as such is one of the most motivating threads I've seen on this website in, literally, half a decade
