That looked insane..especially considering you can't chord-smash to pass things like in stepmania...can you put this score into perspective for ppl who don't know anything about the BMS scene? (me lol)
I tried playing beatmania a while ago, this is utterly absurd! Do you play with a iidx controller or keyboard? If I could play with a iidx controller on pc maybe I'd try again.
I use a keyboard, I'm horrible with an iidx controller rofl
@Dynam0: Somewhat like Stepmania without chord cohesion, around J4 timing, and maybe like L7~8 or tighter (depending on the song) lifegauge
In this case, I was using "easy" gauge which means it doesn't matter if I dropped to 0 at any time, I just needed 80%+ HP to pass. Granted, the life recovery is quite fast for this song but the notes...boorush a few and the HP drop to half or less
From a physical perspective, open windows task manager and use it to cover the rightmost 3 lanes in the video. Would give a better perspective as to how dense the chart is as a 4k chart. Now extend that to 7k......I use my left hand to hit the 4 notes on the left, my right to hit the 3 notes on the right
A couple years back theres only like, idk maybe 3 passes on this. Now there's like close to 50 passes rofl (with two players using "Hard" gauge, which means 13 consecutive misses or so=instant fail, like justice Stepmania life gauge). Doesn't matter to me, this is still my greatest rhythm gaming achievement to date probably considering I usually lack stamina for hard charts..
Yeah that's still incredible man! Basically the difference between getting a good score and a pass is a lot smaller than in sm since you can't bomb/bs your way through the song, so if you put that into perspective it's much more impressive to pass things in this game than SM. Nicely done
