Live Music & Other Goodies A Plenty!

First and foremost I would like to announce that for the first time on FFR we
are going to be streaming music to you live starting at 6pm PST (8pm CST) this
Thursday. DJ’s Sashcat and Spook Goblin from "For Great Justice!" will be
wreckin the decks live from Los Angeles with everything they got, from melodic
trance to goa, DnB and the Hard House. This will not merely be playing tunes but
a live show with live mixing/transfers.. Think it can’t be done? Wait and see..
In order to listen you will need to download
winamp (which is free) so that you can hear the shoutcast stream. This
stream will be broadband only and broadcast at 96kbit/s 44khz stereo for the
audio geek in you.. The address of the server will be given out a few hours
before broadcast time. Check back on thursday afternoon for details. Don’t
forget… 8pm CST on Thursday!!

We will also be releasing a new beta version of
FFR that will fix a few bugs as well as a special downloadable version with some
suprises hidden inside. I cannot give away the details on features
unfortunately. We should also have our brand spankin new chat program up by them
which will finally include some moderator control *JOY!* but will keep features
like webcam and audio chat. We are prepping our new hi-score section of the site
which will also be ready if we are lucky and have the time.

New Downloadable

For all of you who have been extremely patient there will be a new downloadable version of FFR with a few levels available sometime this week. The new downloadable will be brought up to the most current version of FFR. I will also update the old downloadables and bring them up to the most current version of FFR.

Depending on how much free time we have, we may also incorporate a new feature into the online version of FFR.

Keep yer’ eyes peeled. (oh how I wish i could talk about other secret stuff going on around here.)

Well.. We finally decided to open a “user photo gallery” sparked by a certain thread on the forum. The gallery is open to all registered members. Just enter via the link on the left menu (FFR User Gallery) and created a nested album in the Users section. You can then upload photos for that album. Just remember.. Nothing offensive or nude is allowed in the photos. Not even a picture of Nestlekwik’s nipple.

Moderation Part 2

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have read all your private messages and have considered each person for the moderator positions in the forums. I have not responded because frankly, there were too many private messages! I did however go through the forums and looked at recent history of posts and how each person trreated people and the quality of their posts.

I will be contacting a few of you in the next few days to see if you are still up for the job.

Everything is ok in Moderation :)

Well.. Many months have passed since we originally started the forum on this site. As a matter of fact I would have to say that it has been about 6 months. In that time the forum has burst to life with 100′s of posts a day from all walks of life. We are now actively seeking additional moderators to keep specific sections of the forum under control.

Do you meet the criteria?

* Lots of time on your hands
* Post whoring annoys you
* You can be kind to newbie’s no matter how annoying
* You understand that certain things are secret and don’t exist
* You have experience moderating in the past
* Understanding of PhpBB forum software

The new chat is irc based and a bunch easier to read/operate. If you use a program like mirc you can join us on server irc.zoite.net in #flashflashrevolution otherwise you can join via a browser by clicking on the buttons I had mentioned.

Can’t wait until I have my own computer….

My god, I am going to bitchslap my parents. This is the second time they’ve deleted a file crucial to my Internet browser and I’ve had to reformat. However, after reformating, my WIndows 98: 2nd Edition disk (-_-) crapped out on us, so we’ve been computerless for the past week.
