Simfiles Search Function

For all of you who have been begging me, there is now a search function in the simfiles. LD was nice enough to lend us his time and get that taken care of today. So be sure to tell all your friends and their friends and their friends.. You get the idea.

We (the staff) think that the header for the site is a little bulky. We want to trim it down a bit so that it does not take up as much vertical space. Does everyone agree with us? Against it? Thoughts? Suggestions? Lets hear them all!

Song of the Week Returns!

Today we will release the Song of the Week and will post the info in this news story when it is up. Don’t worry, it shouldn’t be that late when we release it.

Tonight’s song comes to us from a very talented artist by the name of Just Will. His song, Just Died, is the latest addition to our long dorment Hip-Hop section. Steps are from long time vet Alainbryden, and the steps are easy enough for new players, yet challenging to bring you back playing You can find it in the hip hop section, on the second row, far right.

Welcome back to the song of the week! I’ll have a real treat for you all next week.

Crowdpleaser / Song of the Week

I was starting to feel bad for not having 3rd style ready in time and have decided to re-instate “Song of the Week”. We will now be working extra hard to release a new level each Monday. This will continue at the very least until 3rd style is released and will probably continue on that track even after release as it will give you regulars something to look forward to besides the garbage bin in the forums.

Some of you may or may not have noticed the new song we put up recently called “Crowdpleaser” by SGX. There is also a remix version available featuring additional work by our very own DJ ShoX with lyrics by Frelance.

Status of 3rd Style

I just wanted to fill everyone in on the status of FFR 3rd style. We originally planned to have 3rd style finished by late April but have now realized that this project is much larger than anticipated. Believe me, there is nobody who would rather have 3rd style release more than myself. I absoluately cannot wait to get it out the door (soon!).

While I cannot give you a solid release date or time right now, I can say that I am working on it 3-4 hours per day at minimum. I will keep working hard on this project and get it out the door ASAP. Even if people were to volunteer and help with the actionscript, it would be difficult to get them up and running on the code.

While FFR 3rd style is being handled nearly 100% by me (LD for php support), we have 2 new music game projects starting up and would like to have finished before the end of the year. We are looking for high level actionscript coders & interface designers to donate their time to the projects. In specific, one of the projects involves physics. If you are interested or know anyone who would be interested, please PM me here or in the forum. Because of my involvement with 3rd style, we will need people who are self motivated and care to see the project through to completion.

3rd Style is on it’s way.

Ok, tonights contest is going to be easy for everyone to participate in. Here is how it goes!

1. Find a site that links to FFR
2. Respond to this news post with that URL.
3. The URL you posted just became your entry. Nobody can take it.
4. I will track referrers so I can see what percentage of traffic is arriving from each site.
5. URL with most inbound traffic by MIDNIGHT wins. (we check IP’s, users who click the links multiple times will be disqualified.. no joke).

Fair? YES! Everyone can participate, go find those links and claim them! This might even help FFR out a little bit.
