FFR’s First Convention Appearance?

Yes, quite possibly.. If you live in the Midwest or Northeast, you may want to keep your schedule clear for April 14th. We will most likely have a booth at an Anime convention that Saturday in Ohio. If all goes as planned, I will be there along with some other FFR personalities. I cannot release the full details yet until we get some sort of confirmation on booking but I thought I would give you guys an early warning. We should hopefully have a solid plan in the next week or so.

Interesting? Muahaha. Can’t wait.

Songs of the Week, 2nd week of March

Shash Edit: Incognito has been moved to Dance2, and ESC has been moved to the second page of Misc.

SotW #1 of this week is Incognito, a song from ITG2.
Song is by Inspector K, Steps are by Silver_Brian.
BPM(155) is moderate for this game, it doesn’t have so many 16ths but has a lot of doubles.
The Difficulty Rating is 4/6 (Very Difficult).
Currently you can find this song in Funk.

SotW #2 is ESC – Super Version. Onoken‘s song again since Brightone, steps are by Rebirth0.
Song is relatively slow (137 BPM) but fairly many 16ths are used, plus 32nds are a bit tricky.
Our difficulty rating is 4.5/6 (Challenging).
This song will be released tonight.

Come Play With Us. Update

Well it has been around a week now that we have had the CPWU counter up and running. I am happy to say that we have had just shy of 1000 people help us out and put their CPWU links up on their own sites and others. This will surely help FFR out with inbound links.

We also have a few people getting very close to hitting that 5000 inbound links. Which means of course, they are only a few days away from getting their FFR t-shirts.

Forum Upgrade (part 2)

*edit.. Forum upgrade is complete. We may be doing another upgrade shortly that will basically take down the front end of the site including the game pages. Special Song release! Brightone by onoken

In case some of you haven’t noticed, a special file was released yesterday in honor of my birthday. YAY!

The song is Brightone, by Japanese artist onoken, and the steps are by me, hi19hi19. Brightone is a very upbeat and unique song, and the steps reflect that. I sometimes find it hard to resist getting up and dancing to this song when I play it.

The file can be found in the top left corner of Dance2. Its rating is 4/6 (Very Difficult), so many people will be able to enjoy a challenge while still having fun.

Spontaneous Contest #2034-23 Ends! Eating for Clothes

I started the night off tonight thinking this would be a miserable failure of a contest. No… Noooo.. NooOOOOo.. That was definitely not the case. After about 20 minutes etrnnlchaos24 broke the ice and everyone started joining in. I thought for sure this would be a fun contest. It turned out to be so much more than that. It turned out making me (and many others) feel nearly ill. It was great!

I honestly have to say that I am proud of everyone’s efforts to make a sloppy mess of themselves. It is truly impressive. We even had people who were banned from the site asking me if they could participate. I really appreciate the crazy efforts.

So… It is with much disgust, jubilation, praise, regret, surprise and honor that I award Prettypapercuts with the award of the night. I am surprised that the concoction did not combine to form some dangerous gases or something. What she ate was.. well lets just say that I am still gagging over the thought.

Congrats Prettypapercuts! We will send off a coupon to you so that you can replace the shirt you ruined tonight. Thanks to everyone else for participating. You nearly brought the server down tonight with all the activity!

It would hardly be considered normal around here if we let much time pass without a spontaneous contest. Right? Right!

For those of you who have played in the past, you know what you are in for. You understand the grueling dedication, the pain, the laundry on your head and the effort to accomplish the ridiculously accomplishable. Yes, you understand this well.

Alright, this Wednesday’s Spinfile of the Week is another one by our contest winner, MixMasterLar!

At a song length of 3:41, it’s a pretty basic spinfile, but hey, after the last couple ones, I think you guys need a break from the crazy spins of doom.

/DJS\ is none other than musician and forumgoer Starshot, so give him a little comment on his wall for the great music. Our in-house artists need all the support they can get, because without them, there is no FFR!

Also, I noticed the complaint about Lazy and the spinfile’s been edited, so it should end exactly where it’s supposed to now (and it’s a lot shorter than I remember… 1:38).
