Shop Much? We Just Made Your Life Easier
Today we released a fix for the shop within FFR that allows you to properly scroll through the songs and obtain any song you would like in whatever order pleases you. Just clear cache / refresh, load the game and then click on the “shop” button.
I know this fix has been a long time in the works but we have many projects and deals we are working on. Xelius was the guy who was able to pull this one off effectively. He always comes to the rescue when I get sucked away by business. Big thanks go out to him and his abilities.
Xelius also has altered our multiplayer backend to makes some speed improvements and gave it a bit of a tune up. His custom extensions continue to improve our lives here.
We are also working on profiles and the forum today (as we were yesterday). New features expected in both.
Cheers,
Synthlight, Xelius and many many others
Forums Being Upgraded
While we try and upgrade a few things on the site this morning, I invite the user Darkmindz to hit me up on AIM.
Cheers,

Welcome New Local Mods!
We figured it was about time we cracked down on madness in the forums on FFR. That place has been crazy lately. So to help make life a little easier and the forums a little more interesting, we have officially brought on Rebirth0, jimerax and devonin as mods. Below we list the forum sections they will moderate and direct links to their profiles in case you want to go congratulate or leave your thoughts. Butt kissing is welcome but will not result in bans being lifted.
Rebirth0 – mod of FFR General Talk (and subforums) and Brag Board
jimerax – mod of FFR General Talk (and subforums)
devonin – mod of Critical Thinking
Cheers,
Synthlight, Tass and the rest of the staff
Take Group X and The White Tie Affair for a Spin
Spin It Up is back and it’s back in a big way, baby! Starting today you can find two new spinfiles in-game, both featuring some very unique artists.
Following up on The White Tie Affair’s widget, BEN.(SPEIRS) 7.5 has supplied us with a spinfile for the song The Letdown. As such, you can now find The Letdown in playable Spin It Up form both on our Spin It Up official game page and The White Tie Affair’s embeddable widget. The file is rated two on the difficulty scale due to a large number of flips, however, you should have no problem tackling the song.
Next on the list is the comedic stylings of Group X (www.groupxarab.com). Group X’s long-awaited debut comes now with the addition of Shfifty Five. The creators of the infamous Mario Twins will enlighten you of the secrets of Shfifty Five thanks to spinfile created by MixMasterLar. You can also find this song in difficulty level two.
Sorry again for the Spin It Up downtime. I will be going through a number of spinfile entries in the next few days, but please feel free to continue submitting spinfiles to [email protected]. As always you can discuss Spin It Up, provide suggestions for the game and learn how to contribute spinfiles in our official Spin It Up forum section.
Top 10 Level Stats Added Back To FFR Profiles
Back by popular demand, the Top Ten Level Stats block is once again working in FFR Profiles (as can be seen in Tasselfoot’s profile.
With the new servers configured and in a solid master / slave configuration, we think these stats won’t hurt us as much as it did in the past. However, we are keeping a close eye on things and if it causes too much pain, we may pull them and try looking at other options. They are still using a 1 hour cache, so make sure to give it time to update if you live by stats
Additionally, we have seen suggestions in the forums regarding additional stats that we are looking at as possible future feature enhancements. However, these kinds of statistics have pretty massive database requirements and we will be watching performance as we go forward to make sure we can handle it.
As more updates are made available, we will keep you guys posted. More soon …
Chardish,
*Edit*: Likely you saw that we added images to comments as well. That might also evolve in the weeks to come. Will see how well the initial functionality behaves.
SUPE’s Thirty-Eight (38) joins the Widget Wonderland!
The Tokyo transplant hard rock band Supe (pronounced “shoop”) can now be found at Flash Flash Revolution with their original song Thirty-Eight (38) available for play. Avid gamers themselves, Supe is proud to have their music available to a broader audience. Guitarist ARI said, “I can’t wait to try and play Thirty-Eight (38) myself…it has a good beat for Flash Flash and will be fun to play.”
Originating from Japan, in 2002 Supe took up residency in Los Angeles to pursue the world’s stage. In 2005 the band caught the attention of platinum selling producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, System of a Down) who produced their EP CD “Grow in the Cold”.
Grow in the Cold is filled with walls of crunching guitar, amazing power and passionate vocals – displaying all the range and styles of Breaking Benjamin, Thrice or Linkin Park. This six-song EP features the sure-fire rock radio hit Shade and live favorite Good Face along with Thirty-Eight (38).
In March 2007 Supe embarked upon their first US Tour which crossed 11 states and included over 50 concert dates. Then in July 2007 Grow in the Cold was released in Japan which spawned a very successful 20 city tour across Japan supported by MTV Video, radio and magazine features.
Now back in the United States, Supe is in the studio once again with Sylvia Massy Shivy recording their first full-length CD which will be released in April 2008. Supe is Kihiro on vocals, ARI on ESP guitar, takeshi on PRS guitar, Toru on bass and RyoZ pounding the drums. Have no fear; they may have Japanese names but this is truly an all-American band with a world-wide audience.

Where are we?!?
Take a look in the profiles… we’ve added a fun little live broadcast of somewhere where we are. Post here in the comments where we are. The person who guesses closest (or exact) will get a t-shirt and subscription.
EDIT: Congratulations to colt.45 for being correct to within 1.1 miles of where we are. We’re in a hotel outside of LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). _Ether_ was the 1st to say LA, but colt’s precise answer is the most accurate and closest. Thanks for everyone’s participation!
FFR’s First Country Artist! Gary Allan Joins the Widget Family!
Its raw and emotional. Its freight-train-to-nowhere lonely. Its hard-rockin, no-apologies country music that has traded in its twang for a gravelly growl millions of fans recognize as the voice of Gary Allan. And with LIVING HARD, his latest release from MCA Nashville, Allan once again proves that, though times may change, the thread of truth at the center of his music remains the same.
So check out Gary’s MySpace! Play his widget on FFR! Pick up Watching Airplanes on iTunes!
