No More Loss Of AAAs!
It’s been a long time coming, but we’ve finally buckled down and taken care of over-AAA scores. As of now, they’ll no longer record, regardless of how it happened. You all may now rejoice in the streets. There will be dancing and wine for those of age. Big thanks to Lightdarkness for coding this.
Also, if you’ve somehow missed it, there is a new block on the main page of the site. In the upper right corner, above the Latest Profiles and FFR Videos blocks is the shiny and new Recent Game Plays block, courtesy of LD (idea by heyitsmee).
Finally, a new subbie song is out. There will be much rejoicing about this as well. Now that I’m back in LA, expect the song release schedule to be back to normal.

PS – Jason requests me to notify all of you about the new Word Find game located within profiles.
FFR T-Shirt Design Contest: The Finalists!
Big thanks to everyone who submitted t-shirt designs. We had a ton of entries (check the official thread to view most of them), all of them special in one way or another [maybe "special"?]. Voting will take place via the poll found in the Finals thread and will end in 1 week.
The 4 finalists will each get a 3 month subscription, and the winner will get the 1st shirt of their design off the press!
The images are bigger and clearer in the thread. Go Vote!

Animarathon 2008: FFR Strikes Back

Hee, hee. This convention picture never gets old. I’m breaking it out this time, though, because I’ve received our room reservation verification for this year’s Animarathon event. Those who were around last year may remember our presence at the event and this year we’ll be around once again for more anime-video game-cosplay-pizza mayhem that users will never forget.
Currently, details are pretty scarce as to who exactly will be present at the event and what we will be offering this time around, but keep checking back as details are made available. Thanks to a prompt notice this year, you have nearly three full months to prepare your Animarathon journey, so no excuses this time! Feel free to discuss the event at the official Animarathon convention thread in the FFR Forums and keep an eye on it in the next couple of months to see the details as they unfold.

Word Games and some updates. Gimmie a Stickie!
Likely most of you have noticed in the profiles the Word Scramble. Additionally, you have likely seen that the behavior of the block for them has changed. We have another 2 word games coming online hopefully this week, after going through testing with the staff and FFR Subscribers of course
Also, we have a new FAQ in testing with more info going into the FAQ than ever before. That old FAQ (current) has needed an update like forever ago. Nestlekwik is working his fingers off in the new one as well.
Finally, regarding the profile entertainment, I will send out 1 – 5.5×5.5 FFR Guy Sticker for the first 10 (ten) users that post a Random Thought in their profile that makes me giggle, and has a title of “FFR Stickers Make My Bumper Look Better“. Make sure its exactly that text or I won’t find it either!
I will comment and post the winners here. Winners to be announced at 11:30pm EST, so that gives you over an hour.
Anything good is accepted, just don’t spam it up senselessly .. and if I find a really good one, might send out a shirt to that user too. Profile styles that make my time even more interesting will always help too
Will post again as this goes forward.
Creative Genius Is In
A ton of interesting responses out there. Some even scary. However, the ones that gave me the biggest .. or oddest chuckle are as follows:
MystictheHedgehog (Simplicity made me laugh)
WolfXhunter (MWC Makes me laugh)
Cyanite (The single most bizarre McD Evah!)
bluguerrilla (For interesting honesty)
zajac (Mr Coke for the win)
Nyokou (Who doesn’t love halloween)
Jinxed_Phantom(I love dew)
Brian Inc (For the poet award)
MrMagic5239 (For his start of a self help group)
Drugstore Cowboy (For Video Skillz .. yessir! Made me laugh!)
Finally .. I find the image that is destined for avatars all across the internets!
EnR (Oh yes .. Tass Thong for the win!) Sticker and Shirt!
PM me names and addresses where I can mail these out and I will nag you later to get photos of where you put these stickers up
We want to see the love!
Stickies are not just for the FFR Forum
The holidays were a little (LOT) over the top and a lot insane for the FFR Staff. With that in mind, and since we are mostly settling back in, I thought it would be a good time to have some fun. Hope you all know how to work on and configure your profiles
Watch for another post tonight regarding some updates. Consider this your early hint of things to come.
Spin It Up Rolls Into 2008
While it’s tough times for the kwikster, who is getting all of his wisdom teeth pulled tomorrow, it’s party time for Spin It Up fans who get a triple taste of songs in advance. Since I’m not sure how Tuesday will go since I’ll be stuffed like a turkey with gauze, not only do you get Saturday’s spinfile and not only do you get the public announcement of a song that’s secretly been tucked in the game for almost a month, but at absolutely no charge, you’ll also receive Tuesday’s file of the day two days early!
First up is Smitty’s Downfall, a song that switches up tempos from a ballad of synth to piano intervals, by DrugstoreCowboy, which I snuck into the game in mid-December without telling anybody. The spinfile by MixMasterLar is located in difficulty level 5. Make sure you stop by DrugstoreCowboy’s site and give his works a listen so he can freak out even more about his hits and number of listeners.
Fresh off the tree are the songs Spicy Curry OC Remix by djpretzel and Geno’s Forest 8-Bit Rock by XBrav. Spicy Curry is a delicious spin off of Dhalsim’s stage theme from Street Fighter II, featuring a spin-filled difficulty level 4 file by MixMasterLar. Coolboyrulez0 nets his first solo addition to the game with a bit of a tricky level 5 file, which pays homage to Super Mario RPG’s action figure turned hero.
Spin It Up players will be pleased to know the multiplayer is once again functional, and those who haven’t been following the difficulty changes should visit the official Spin It Up forum. Until then, wish me luck and have fun spinning.
Word Scramble – New Profile Feature!
If you’ve seen some funny-looking letter combinations in your profile, it’s not because we’re horrible spellers, but rather, FFR profiles now feature Scramble, a simple, yet addictive game that requires players to decipher strings of letters into a word which matches the given clue.
Currently, 450 words and phrases are Scramble ready, ranging from easy to insane in difficulty, with more and more being added in every single day, so keep watch for updates to raise your score. Currently, Scramble keeps record of your personal lifetime score as well as a top 10 ranking located in the Scramble window, so rack your brain and shoot for the top 10!
Subscribers have had access to the game for about a week now and if anyone is having trouble loading the game now, some updates were made, so try clearing your cache and refreshing the page.
Above all, please have fun with the addition and if you experience problems or have suggestions for the game, let us know in the FFR suggestions forum.
From everyone at FlashFlashRevolution.com
